Lavonte David reacts to the rankings.

Lavonte David has been on something of a media tour since the Bucs' win over the Eagles on Sunday, when David had two sacks, a forced fumble and a great game.

It started when David called the lucky Bucs' locker room for a national interview after a solo appearance on the Buccaneers Radio Network.

But yesterday, David joined FS1 and was bombarded with questions by former Bucs receiver Keyshawn Johnson.

Johnson is a big supporter of the Bucs this season, unlike many others in the national media. He releases power rankings every week and Tampa Bay came in at No. 5 yesterday. Johnson shared his rankings with David (screenshot above) and Johnson didn't shy away from putting the Lions at No. 4 even though the Bucs beat them in Detroit two weeks ago defeated.

Johnson asked David for feedback and Joe was slightly surprised to hear David talk about how he needed to rank the Bucs' No. 1 pick.

David said the Bucs handle what they do and ignore outside noise, and the Bucs feel like there's no team they can't compete with and beat.

It was said that Todd Bowles spoke to the squad before this season about reaching the Super Bowl. There was no “Win the division and anything can happen.” The message was to build on last season’s playoff win and get to the ultimate game.

Joe is glad the Bucs are confident. They should be.
