KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Playoff baseball returns to Kauffman Stadium for the first time since 2015 as the Kansas City Royals welcome the New York Yankees to Games 3 and 4 of the ALDS.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:08 p.m. at the K.

UPDATE, 6:14 p.m. | Bobby Witt Jr. makes a diving charge to steal a hit from Aaron Judge to end the first inning.

UPDATE, 6:10 p.m. | Pitcher Seth Lugo opens the game for the Royals in Kansas City.

UPDATE, 3:50 p.m. | Former Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer, who was with the team from 2011 to 2017, will throw out the first pitch of Game 3 with his son Jack.

He said his job is to set the tone at Kauffman Stadium.

UPDATE, 3:45 p.m. | Royals pitcher Michael Wacha won't be on the mound for Game 3, but he's considering his next start on Thursday, which could be either a decisive series win or an elimination game, a “must-win.”

UPDATE, 1:15 p.m. | Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. told reporters he's ready for the “electricity” of postseason baseball at Kauffman Stadium.

“These are the moments you dream about,” said Witt. “As a kid, you want to go to these games, you want to be a part of these games, especially here in Kansas City because the fans are so great and they give it their all every night. So it's going to be a lot of fun.”

UPDATE, 12:30 p.m. | The Kansas City Royals have announced their starting lineup for today's ALDS Game 3.

UPDATE, 12:15 p.m. | Before the game, the Royals provided fans with some important information ahead of the game.

Gates will open at 3:30pm and fans are asked to be in their seats by 5:40pm so they don't miss the pre-match festivities.
