The NFL's leading receiver is headed to injured reserve.

Houston Texans 567-yard man Nico Collins will miss at least four games after suffering a hamstring injury in the team's Week 5 game against the Buffalo Bills.

Collins suffered his injury at the end of the first quarter in what would be Houston's fourth win of the season.

On a first-and-10 from their own 33-yard line, Texas quarterback CJ Stroud threw a pass 50 yards downfield to a rushing Collins.

The star outside hitter caught the ball brilliantly and trotted untouched into the end zone to score.

That was the last time Collins touched the ball in Houston's 23-20 win.

As he returned to the sideline, the receiver waved to the Texans' medical staff.

After spending just a few minutes in the blue tent, Collins left the field toward the locker room.

Although no injury was apparent in the game, Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans told reporters on Monday that the 25-year-old was in good spirits but might miss time.

“Obviously… it takes a few weeks for the hamstring, so we'll evaluate that week to week to see when we can get him back,” Ryans said.

On Wednesday, Collins was officially placed on injured reserve, meaning the earliest he can return to play is the Texans' Week 10 game against the Lions on Nov. 10.

In a season filled with outstanding performances, Collins was on his way to another divine statistic – fantasy or otherwise – against Buffalo.

He had caught both passes Stroud sent him for a total of 78 yards – including 67 yards on the long touchdown pass when he sustained the hamstring injury.

So far this season, Collins had accumulated three touchdowns on 32 receptions in addition to his 567 receiving yards.

According to Yahoo Sports, the fourth-year wideout had already broken DeAndre Hopkins' record for most receiving yards to start a season in franchise history. Collins was on pace to surpass the career-high 1,297 yards he amassed in last year's campaign.

The Texans will be without their best receiver, whom they signed to a three-year, $72.5 million contract in the offseason.

The majority of this work should fall to a more than capable duo in Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell.
