Since his debut in The New York Times in June 2023, Connections has quickly gained popularity and has become the second most popular game on the release Wordleanother word based puzzle. The game challenges players with a combination of techniques such as homophones and puns, making the puzzles consistently exciting and rarely easy.

Answers for Wednesday Connections You can find this issue at the end of the article. So be careful if you want to solve it yourself.

How to play Connections

Every day, Connections presents players with a grid of 16 words. Your goal is to group these into four groups of four based on common themes or characteristics.

These groups are color-coded by difficulty: yellow (easiest), green, blue, and purple (hardest). If you correctly identify a group, those words will be highlighted and removed from the grid. The corresponding color reveals how demanding the group should be.

Players have four attempts to correctly guess the four groups. If you cannot make all four connections, the answers and corresponding difficulty color will be displayed at the end of the game. If players get stuck, they can press the shuffle button, which shuffles the words where they appear on the screen.

Wyna Liu, crossword editor at The New York Times which has developed Connectionspreviously shared her tips for playing the game Newsweek.

“My best advice is to wait as long as possible before guessing,” she said.

“Maybe you look at the board and have fully identified the category by seeing five words that could belong in that category. Don't try to guess the four words in this category, because even if you know what the fifth member is, you will win.” “I don't know which of the four it might be.” This would ultimately waste a round.

Liu added, “Don't do what I do, which is 'getting rid of anger'.”
