OMG, the New York Mets really did it Verizon outage: Lions urge fans to download tickets before Monday Night Football

Oasis have announced that their reunion tour will take them to the USA, Canada and Mexico in August and September 2025.

The band previously announced the news on billboards in New York, Toronto, Chicago and other cities. “Be careful what you wish for,” the advertisement said.

They play at Toronto Rogers Stadium on August 24th, Chicago Soldier Field on August 28th, New Jersey MetLife Stadium on August 31st, Los Angeles Rose Bowl Stadium on September 6th and Mexico City Estadio GNP on September 12th Seguros. The US rock band Cage the Elephant will be there as support at all dates.

The dates will be the first for Oasis in these territories since 2008, when they toured with Dig Out Your Soul. The band's first American tour for Definitely Maybe from 1994 to 1995 remains infamous: after a drunken, chaotic performance at the Whiskey a Go Go in Los Angeles, Noel Gallagher left the band for several days.

The international dates are in addition to the previously announced 19 sold-out dates in the UK and Ireland, comprising five additional dates to the original 14 dates.

After the first sale in August left many fans without tickets after hours of technical problems and frustration in the queue, the band added two new shows at Wembley Stadium to be sold as part of a staggered invitation-only vote, with fans didn't succeed the first time selling first to gain access.

It remains to be seen whether the international dates will be subject to Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing policy, which has seen general admission tickets increased from £135 to £337.50 plus fees due to demand.

In a statement, the band said it was unaware that dynamic pricing would be used in the sale.

“Interest in this tour is inevitably so overwhelming that it is impossible to schedule enough shows to meet public demand,” they said. “Regarding the well-documented complaints that many buyers have had about Ticketmaster's dynamic ticketing operation, it must be made clear that Oasis leaves ticketing and pricing decisions entirely in the hands of its promoters and management and at no time had any knowledge of dynamic pricing should be used.”

After the ticketing fiasco, the government announced that it would include dynamic pricing in a review of ticketing that it had promised in its election manifesto. Consumer law experts added that while the practice was not illegal, Ticketmaster may have violated consumer regulations by not making it clear to fans about the possible price increase for general admission tickets.

The consumer group Which? demanded that the band and Ticketmaster provide refunds to fans who had paid inflated prices.

Ticketmaster does not set ticket prices and has argued that dynamic pricing deters ticket sellers by adjusting prices based on market value. Ticket prices for Oasis performances are believed to have been set by promoters SJM Concerts, MCD and DF Concerts & Events.

However, in a typically combative response, Liam Gallagher shrugged off criticism of the pricing by responding to a complainant
