Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby is known for his intensity on a football field. So it's no surprise to learn that he would at least consider stepping into the octagon for a UFC fight at some point.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Crosby explained that he does boxing drills as part of his NFL training and that he would be tempted to use that skill in a UFC fight in the future.

“I really love it,” the three-time Pro Bowler said of fighting. “So let’s see, you know what I mean? If my heart demands it and I want to go in there, then maybe I could. I will never throw anything out the window.”

Ahead of the 2023 season, Crosby said he spent time sparring with former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland during the offseason. He later revealed that Strickland had broken his nose during a session.

It is now common for athletes and celebrities outside of the martial arts world to try their hand at it, although this is not often the case in mixed martial arts. Boxing is not easy, but it is easier than mixed martial arts with its various disciplines.

Crosby's affinity for mixed martial arts might lead him to give it a try if he were to dabble in combat sports, but if he were to try it, it might be wiser to start with boxing and work his way up.

He was often underestimated as a football player, leading the Raiders to take him in the fourth round of the 2019 draft, and has developed into one of the best pass rushers in the NFL. Therefore, it might be foolish to underestimate his MMA skills.

For now, though, Crosby will continue to do his primary job of wreaking havoc on the Raiders' opposing quarterbacks.
