The Chiefs look great heading into the bye week Jets fire head coach Robert Saleh

The Patriots have been through it since Tom Brady left town, but New England may have hit a new low on Sunday afternoon.

The Pats suffered an embarrassing 15-10 loss to division rival Miami at Gillette Stadium, dropping Jerod Mayo's team to 1-4. The Patriots' offense was again pathetic, but one could easily argue that the Dolphins' attack led by Tyler Huntley was even worse. And yet New England found a way to drop the ball in a winnable contest in which the coaching staff did the players no favors.

Scott Zolak, like many other members of the Foxboro Faithful, was pretty upset when the Patriots suffered their fourth straight loss. So much so that the former New England quarterback's Week 5 decision put him in a league of his own.

“This was the worst loss since Tom Brady left the team,” Zolak said on 98.5 The Sports Hub.

Patriots fans should probably prepare for more ugly losses as the season progresses. New England's injuries continue to mount, and even when healthy, the team has one of the weaker rosters in football. At this point, the Patriots appear far from being able to consistently compete with the league's best.

Therefore, a dramatic offseason with significant changes will likely be required.
