What game does Tom Brady call this week? Montana's 15-game home winning streak ended against Weber St.

Jeremy Swayman signed an eight-year, $66 million contract with the Boston Bruins on Sunday. It has an average annual value of $8.25 million and runs through the 2031-32 season.

The 25-year-old goaltender, who was a restricted free agent, had a one-year, $3.475 million contract awarded to him by an independent arbitrator on August 1, 2023.

He did not report to training camp, which began on September 18th.

“Hey fans, 'Sway' here,” Swayman said in a video posted on X by the Bruins. “I'm so happy to be back. I can't thank you for all your support throughout the entire process, but we've gotten a lot of new beginnings and I can't wait to get started.

Bruins president Cam Neely said earlier this week that he believes Swayman wants to stay in Boston.

“I truly believe Jeremy wants to play here,” Neely said Oct. 2. “I asked him directly if you wanted to play here and he did. I believe they will make a deal.” It's unfortunate that it's not ready today.

In the same press conference, Neely appeared to make public what the Bruins had offered Swayman, saying, “I know I have 64 million reasons why I would play right now.”

Swayman's agent said later in the day that the number was never discussed and that “we will take a few days to discuss how to proceed.”

When the Bruins opened training camp on Sept. 18, Bruins general manager Don Sweeney said he was optimistic a deal could be done.

“I have to say that every day that Jeremy is out hurts our team,” Sweeney said, “and it hurts him because of the preparation that we would like to do and that he needs to do, but that won't stop us . “hopefully find common ground and get it done.”

Swayman had a 25-10-8 record with a 2.53 against average, a .916 save percentage and three shutouts for a 6-6 record in 44 regular season games (43 starts) with the Bruins last season a 2.15 GAA and a .933 save percentage in 12 Stanley Cup playoff games.

“I am confident that my agent, I and management will work out the details this summer and I look forward to it,” Swayman said on May 19. “I think it's obvious how much I care about this organization, how much I care about this team and this city, and I wouldn't want it to be any different. I couldn't be happier to be a Bruin.
