STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – Taylor Swift fans flock to surrounding cities to see the star on stage.

A group out Sterling Heights paid big money to see Taylor Swift in Toronto and found out their tickets had disappeared.

The scam is well known to consumers on Ticketmaster and has caused great concern.

“I just started crying,” Dominique Parham said. “It was devastating and traumatic because they were gone. They were no longer in my account and claimed by someone else, and I saw so many horror stories about so many people not being able to get their tickets back.”

“At first I thought she was joking and then I was very upset,” the friend said.

She is one of the biggest stars on the planet. Taylor Swift concerts are both must-see and expensive, with some spending thousands to see the pop star in person.

“It’s crazy,” said Nakia Mills of the Better Business Bureau. “We made friendship bracelets to exchange at the concert. We had our room ready and what we wanted to wear.”

The tickets purchased from Ticketmaster were supposed to be in Parham's Apple wallet, but they were gone.

Earlier this year, Ticketmaster was hacked and, like Parham, fans with tickets saw them disappear.
