Teacher Wins Big, Gets Emotional – See How Ryan Seacrest Reacted

A retired English teacher from Valrico, Florida, made her former students proud on Friday (September 27). Wheel of Fortune after dominating the game and solving the bonus round puzzle.

Amy Nardin, also known as Mrs. Nardin, appeared on Friday's episode as part of the show's Teachers' Week, where she told host Ryan Seacrest that she recently completed her 30th year at Bell Creek Academy High School in Riverview, Florida , had completed.

Although Nardin ended up in bankruptcy early on, he soon took control and began solving the puzzles. With each correct answer she became more emotional, and at one point Seacrest even had to hand her a tissue to wipe her eyes.

“She has tears in her eyes,” Seacrest noted.

At the end of the Express Round, Nardin had secured a wild card wedge and secured a trip to Curaçao in addition to $12,500 in cash. She increased her winnings to $14,500 by the end of the episode, giving her victory and allowing her entry into the bonus round.

Nardin chose the category “Humans” along with the additional letters “B, H, W, O” and her wildcard choice “D”. This left her with a puzzle board that read, “H _ _ H / _ _ H _ E _ ER S.”

Before time began, Nardin became embarrassed when she realized she knew the answer. “I really want you to win this,” Seacrest said as the timer began.

“Achiever!” Nardin shouted, which was true, earning her an additional $40,000.

The fans were really happy for Nardin, including many of her former students who took part Wheel of Fortune Instagram page to share their congratulations.

“THIS IS MY AP LIT TEACHER‼️‼️,” one commenter wrote.

“Let’s go, Ms. Nardin!!!” said another.

Another added: “W Miss Nardin!! My English 3 teacher!!”

“We love Ms. Nardin!!!” wrote one user.

Even those not taught by Nardin were impressed, with one fan writing, “Amy might be my favorite New Era contestant!!!”

“My family absolutely loved Amy!! We just admired her energy!! Congratulations again, Amy!” wrote one YouTube commenter.

Another added: “I had absolutely no idea but Amy knew straight away. Great job.”
