October Prime Day FAQs

When is Amazon's Prime Day in October 2024?

Amazon has confirmed that the dates for Prime Day in October 2024 are October 8th and 9th, a few days earlier than last year. The 48-hour event begins October 8th at 12:01 a.m. PDT. While that's exclusive to Prime members, it doesn't mean you can't take advantage of some great deals – or even sign up for a trial membership while the event is active.

Are Apple products really cheaper on Prime Day?

Apple products can be cheaper on Prime Day and similar events, but there are often only a handful of real eye-catcher deals – and most of them are in limited stock. However, retailers often move old inventory to make room for new ones during sales events like this, and you can often enjoy great deals on refurbished inventory too.

How did we choose these October Prime Day deals?

ZDNET keeps its finger on the pulse of the consumer tech market. Our deal finders have extensive experience finding the best bargains for our readers and only recommend interesting products that they would like to buy.

We like to feature products that are at least 20% off and those that are rarely found on sale – and that includes Apple products, of course. ZDNET writers also use price comparison tools and trackers to determine the value of the deals we highlight in our guides.

In addition, we take into account our customers' reviews and feedback and some of our recommendations may be based on our own purchases and practical tests.
