Life is Beautiful has another location in downtown Las Vegas.

Some neighbors couldn't be happier.

Cindy Blount says there is a big problem with the Bridger Inn and rooms for this weekend are being snapped up quickly.

Since the festival is directly opposite, the rooms sold out quickly.

Blount says, “Everyone will be happy, everyone will be in a good mood, the music will flow, it will be great.”

This is the first year Life is Beautiful has been so close to the 80-room property.

“It gives a different perspective to what Las Vegas is, it's not just about gambling, there are other things going on and music plays a big role in that,” Blount said.

The sound checks for the festival were in full swing on Friday.

The theme this year is indie electronics.

Gus Wenner is CEO of Rolling Stone, which owns Life is Beautiful.

Stone says: “If you love LCD Soundsystem, you'll love Jamie xx, and if you love Justice, you'll love Jungle, even if you've never heard of one or two people on the bill. It works and is of the same kind of roots.”

Technically this is Life Is Beautiful's 11th year, but Wenner says they haven't been able to pull off anything on the scale of previous years due to time constraints.

He says it was important to stay downtown.

One advantage of a smaller footprint is that there are no overlapping sets.

Stone continues, “You don't have to make difficult decisions if you want to see an act here and then miss out on something else that you love here, and we wanted to fit a theme musically so you can come here and enjoy every single part.” the invoice.

Even though the festival will expand again next year, the focus is on a successful 2024.

Wenner says this format is great and in a perfect world we could do some combinations.

Cindy Blount was asked about the noise at the festival.

She says anyone who stays at the Bridger Inn already knows it's coming and that it shouldn't be a problem.

At this year's festival, the venue is what matters most.

Blount says she goes up to the roof and watches it from there, and that's the best place in the house without being there.

The festival runs tonight and tomorrow from 5pm to 2am.

For safety reasons there is a very long list of prohibited items.

Some of the items include weapons, flags, strollers, pets and lawn chairs.

A complete list is printed at the entrance gate.
