Sun 92-82 Lynx (Oct 6, 2024) Game Recap The Mets star whispered something in his teammates' ears before a key hit against the Phillies

Breece Hall didn't have his best afternoon on Sunday.

The third-year running back's sloppy day highlighted the Jets offense's dismal performance and ended in a 10-9 loss marked by 13 penalties – two of which were committed by Hall.

“I just felt like we weren't locked in, probably a little nervous,” Hall said of his false start penalties Sunday. “Must be better with all this stuff.”

In the loss, Hall had 10 carries for four yards. Before Sunday, he was averaging 3.7 yards per carry and rushed for at least 50 yards in each of the first three games. His longest rush of the game on Sunday was three yards, and he finished the first quarter with minus-3 yards on seven carries.

“I just think there are some runs that are blocked a certain way, and there are openings, and there are some runs that aren't,” quarterback Aaron Rodgers said.

Rookie running back Braelon Allen was more productive when he got his hands on the ball, rushing for 34 yards on eight carries. Head coach Robert Saleh was asked after the game why Allen didn't get the goal line touches that ultimately didn't make it into the end zone.

“No, sure, definitely something we can look at, but it was still pretty early when that play came together,” Saleh said. “You know, like I said, we'll always rely on Breece, he's our workhorse. Braelon got a few more runs throughout the game, but it’s always something to watch.”

The 2-2 Jets travel to London this week to face an undefeated Vikings team (4-0) that Hall and Rodgers will face.

“Breece is a great player,” Rodgers said. “He's the best. I love him. He's a great boy. He cares about it. We need to get it working better to get to space. So, dear Breece, always support him.”
