The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed forwards Max Pacioretty and Steven Lorentz to one-year deals and signed defenseman Cade Webber to a two-year extension.

Pacioretty, 35, signed a contract worth $873,770 after a professional tryout in training camp. Lorentz signed a contract worth $775,000 from the Florida Panthers.

Pacioretty scored 23 points (four goals, 19 assists) in 47 games for the Washington Capitals last season. In 902 career regular season games, Pacioretty has scored 668 points (330 goals, 338 assists) and added 50 points (25 goals, 25 assists) in 78 playoff games.

“The training camp was different than any other I've ever had in the sense that you're trying to get in shape and prepare but at the same time impress people. In that respect it was unique. It was very difficult.” “The camp was good, just what I needed to get up to speed,” Pacioretty said.

Lorentz, 28, recorded three points (one goal, two assists) in 38 games with the Panthers during the 2023-24 regular season, while he had three points (two goals, one assist) in 16 playoff games and won the Stanley Cup Won in 2024.

Webber's extension begins in the 2025/26 season. The contract is a two-way contract for the 2025-26 season before becoming a one-way contract in 2026-27 and has an average annual value of $825,000. He appeared in 38 games during the 2023-24 season at Boston University, recording six assists and helping the Terriers reach the semifinals of the 2024 Frozen Four.
