“The View” co-host Joy Behar urged Republican voters to give up their party affiliation and vote for the Democratic Party just this once to get rid of former President Trump.

Behar made the plea during a conversation about former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney, who recently endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris' candidacy and urged other Republicans to join her in voting against Trump this election cycle.

“Just do it this once. Do it this once. Vote Democrats to save the country,” she said.

Behar on The View

“The View” co-host Joy Behar urged GOP voters to go against their party just this “once” time and vote for Vice President Kamala Harris.

Ahead of Behar's appointment, “The View” panel discussed the individual Republicans, including co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin and Cheney, who are working to stop Trump's second term. Griffin, a former Trump aide, mentioned her upcoming “fireside chat” that she is having next week with Cheney and former Trump aides Cassidy Hutchinson and Sarah Matthews in Pennsylvania.

“I’ve never voted for a Democrat in my life,” Griffin said. “This man is completely unfit for office. And so next week I'm traveling to embattled Pennsylvania with Liz Cheney and my friend Sarah Matthews and Cassidy Hutchison. And we're there with a bipartisan group to talk about the threat that Donald Trump poses and why he shouldn't be back in the White House.

Griffin's comments drew cheers from the audience and sparked a broader discussion about the importance of conservatives like Cheney aligning with the Democratic Party this election cycle.

Co-host Sunny Hostin said: “I've certainly been a critic of Liz Cheney because, as you know, she voted for Trump 93% of the time. But I changed my mind when I saw this: because I think it's great that Kamala Harris is willing to have other voices in the room. I think that says a lot about the kind of president she would be.

She then brought up that Harris had promised to have a Republican as president in her Cabinet, leading the panel to wonder whether that Cabinet member could be Cheney.

Later, the theme of bipartisanship led co-host Ana Navarro to recall her switch to the Democratic Party after voting Republican her entire life. “So I voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. It was the first time I voted for a Democrat and it was a very difficult thing because politics was such a part of your job, your social circle, your family.” Life, it's really a very difficult thing.

“That’s why I want us to recognize how difficult her work is and that Liz Cheney has paid a price for her principled adherence since January 6,” Navarro said.
