ForbesToday's NYT Mini Crossword Clues and Solutions for Sunday October 6th

It's that time again. The New York Times Mini Crossword has been reset for tomorrow – Monday – and it's time for us to solve it. Today's crossword is actually a little trickier than what I've seen on many Mondays, just as Sunday's was trickier than usual. That's fine with me – I like a good challenge, even if it's a small one. Let's solve today's problem!

Spoilers ahead, of course. Skip ahead to see the picture of today's solved puzzle.

ABOVE

1 – Spill the beans – BLAB

5 – Bird used by Dutch police to shoot down illegal drones – EAGLE

7 – Online Shopping – ETAIL

8 – With 3-Down “No, try again!” – THINK

9 – Schedule ___ (modern email button) – SEND

DOWN

1 – Root vegetables in borscht – BEETS

2 – Carpentry Molding Tool – LATHE

3 – See 8-Across – AGAIN

4 – Like three mice in a nursery rhyme – BLIND

6 – Large animal in Banff National Park – ELK

I skipped the first few simply because I wasn't sure what word would go with “Spill the Beans” and because I'd never heard of birds shooting down drones. I filled out 9-Across first with SEND and then 1-Down with BEETS. From here I knew 4-Down was BLIND and could guess that 1-Across was BLAB. Once all those letters were filled in, everything else became clear: THINK/AGAIN, EAGLE (who knew?), ETAIL and ELK. It took me 1:28 seconds to solve the mini crossword puzzle today. How have you been? let me know TwitterInstagram or Facebook.

If you also play Wordle, I also write instructions for it. You can find these and all of my TV guides, reviews and much more here on my blog. Thanks for reading!
