Lawrence completed eight passes of 12 or more yards on Sunday. His 85-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. gave the Jaguars a 10-7 lead with 7:12 left in the second quarter. His 61-yarder to wide receiver Christian Kirk came in the fourth quarter, setting up a 4-yard touchdown pass to tight end Brenton Strange that gave the Jaguars a 27-17 lead with 9:59 left.

“It felt good to get to know some of them this week,” Lawrence said. “I felt like we had a great plan and had some opportunities to make those shots. Everything worked out. We got the right look. The boys did a good job from the outside and won.”

Kirk said: “No one deserves it more. He weathers the storm, he doesn't frighten, and we all have the confidence in the world that he'll come out here and play one of these games. I'm grateful that he did that, and when he does it, good things happen for us. I know it's great for him and his confidence and for the team's confidence that he's going to take us where we want to go.

Lawrence completed 10 of 12 passes for 117 yards and a touchdown in the fourth quarter on Sunday. The Jaguars rushed 39 yards on eight plays on their final possession, with kicker Cam Little converting a 49-yard field goal with 17 minutes left.

Lawrence completed three of three passes for 34 yards on the drive, including a 14-yard completion to Kirk that put the Jaguars within field goal range.
