Tyreek Hill may have revealed which Titans quarterback will play in MNF

As they prepare for one Monday Night Football In the game against the Miami Dolphins, the Tennessee Titans did not have a normal week of practice on the defensive side of the ball.

All week, the Titans didn't know exactly which Miami quarterback they would face. The defense has been preparing to face recently signed veteran Tyler Huntley, but nothing is set in stone yet.

Even Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel has done his best to play it all off without giving the media any hint as to who will be the focus.

Starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is, of course, on injured reserve after suffering a head injury. But backup quarterback Skylar Thompson is no longer at 100 percent after suffering a rib injury in Week 3.

Therefore, the Dolphins have veteran Tim Boyle along with Huntley as the most likely options to get the nod on Monday night if Thompson is sidelined.

Well, after Thursday's practice, a Dolphins star may have revealed the final decision while speaking to the media. Hill was asked about the quarterback situation and who he primarily worked with during Thursday's practice.

“I worked with Tim Boyle,” Hill told reporters.

What was even funnier about Hill potentially dropping the decision early were the words that came next. In some ways, he seemed to be trying to back down, add more mystery to the situation, and even bring a non-quarterback into the game as an option.

“I really don’t know…Tim Boyle is out there throwing. They even had (Jaylen) the waddle thrower, so we're in the process of looking for someone who can throw,” Hill concluded.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter who the Dolphins face out there. The only thing Tennessee has to offer in the three games is a strong defense, albeit all losses. The Titans have the third-best pass defense in the NFL, allowing just 139.3 yards per game through the air.

McDaniel tried to keep things under wraps, but he didn't really fool anyone. At this point, the Titans believe it will be Huntley, and it probably will be. To be honest, Hill's comments may actually have been just an excuse. Who knows?

However, if the Dolphins are really trying to find “someone” who can try to get the throw under center, then that’s weird.

Miami needs to know that they are in trouble and could very well give the Titans their first win of the season, at the national level.
