“Vegas Golden Knights sign forward Tanner Pearson to a one-year contract”

VEGAS (October 4, 2024) – General Manager of the Vegas Golden Knights Kelly McCrimmon announced today, October 4th, that the team has signed a forward Tanner Pearson to a one-year contract through the 2024-25 NHL season worth an average of $775,000 per year. Pearson previously attended the team's training camp as part of a professional tryout agreement.

Pearson, 32, played in four of Vegas' five preseason games and posted three points (2 G, 1 A), good for a +4 rating. Pearson previously spent parts of 11 seasons in the NHL, totaling 644 games, with the Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Vancouver Canucks and Montreal Canadiens. The forward played 54 games for the Canadiens last year and scored 13 points (5 G, 8 A). Prior to his time in Montreal, Pearson played five seasons in Vancouver, scoring a career-high 45 points (21 G, 24 A) in the shortened 2019-20 season. The Kitchener, Ontario native began his NHL career with the Kings and totaled 144 points (69 G, 75 A) in 325 games over six seasons in Los Angeles, including three as a defenseman Brayden McNabb.

Pearson has additional experience playing in 51 games during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The winger helped the Kings win the Stanley Cup in 2014 when he recorded 12 points (4 G, 8 A) in 24 of the club's 26 postseason games.
