Pittsburgh, PA – Clear skies and calm conditions are expected across western Pennsylvania this evening, making for a perfect evening for outdoor plans. However, residents should be aware of possible travel disruptions Sunday as thunderstorms are expected to occur in the area, particularly along I-76.

According to the National Weather Service, Saturday will remain sunny with high temperatures around 75°F, but Sunday afternoon a strong storm system will bring a 70% chance of rain, thunderstorms and possible localized flooding. Motorists on I-76 should exercise caution as heavy rains and lightning can create dangerous conditions, especially in the afternoon and evening hours.

Storms are expected to ease by late evening on Sunday and skies will clear overnight. The start of next week will bring much cooler and more comfortable temperatures, with Monday's high reaching just 66°F under sunny skies. The cooler trend will continue through midweek, with Tuesday and Wednesday remaining clear but cool, with highs in the mid-60s and lows dipping into the low 40s at night.
