There was clearly some discourse between Cowboys wideout CeeDee Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott in Dallas' 20-17 road win over the Steelers on Sunday.

Lamb had some good words for Prescott on the sideline after he threw an interception intended for Lamb in the third quarter while Dallas trailed 10-6 at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.

So what did Lamb say to Prescott?

Lamb appeared to say “subpar throw” toward Prescott, who didn't respond as he sat on the bench and looked at an iPad.

Although NBC cameras captured the interaction in slow motion, it wasn't clear exactly what Lamb said.

Cris Collinsworth and Mike Tirico, who were invited to the Sunday Night Football match, painted a grim picture of the interaction.

“It’s hard to explain, just jump into the reporting and something’s wrong,” Collinworth said. “CeeDee Lamb in closing – I’ll let you read your own lips – at Dak.

“Dak doesn’t react at all. It doesn’t look good.”

Tirico added: “Not one bit.”

Despite the interception, the Cowboys gathered their strength and improved their season record to 3-2.

Prescott finished the game with 352 passing yards and two touchdowns, two interceptions and one fumble.

He completed 5 of 7 passes for 46 yards on the winning drive, which ended with a 4-yard touchdown pass to Jalen Tolbert with 20 seconds left.

Both Lamb and Prescott signed lucrative contract extensions last offseason that tie them to Dallas for the next four years.

The Cowboys next face the Lions (3-1) on October 13 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
