In the fifth season, Pat Sajak, the host, takes on his final role as host of the show before bowing out. Pat Sajak was already retired Wheel of Fortune franchise, having hosted the game show for 41 seasons and appearing in over 8,000 episodes. Ryan Seacrest was given the opportunity to fill the big shoes as the new co-host alongside Vanna White for the upcoming season Wheel of Fortune.

Season 5 was announced by network ABC earlier this year, and after Pat Sajak announced on June 7 that he was stepping away from the show's original syndication, it was made clear that fans would like to see Pat on the celebrity series once again Wheel would see version. The line-up of celebrities has not yet been announced.
