Verizon customers across the country reported network outages on September 30, with many iPhone users saying their phones were stuck in SOS mode. This is a massive problem for many people trying to work and manage their lives on a Monday, and it's unclear when the issue will be resolved.

Verizon has not made it clear how long it will stay that way.

“We are aware of an issue impacting service for some customers,” the company’s customer support X account posted around noon Eastern Time. “Our engineers are committed and we are working quickly to identify and resolve the issue.”

It's been hours and reports say people are still having the same problem. Down Detector still shows a large number of problems reported by users. The Verizon account's responses also seem to indicate that many people are still having issues and that no solution has been rolled out yet.
