Despite a week-long break, Alabama football underperformed in the latest edition of the Coaches Top 25 poll released Sunday. The Crimson Tide remained in fourth place in the rankings heading into Saturday's game against Georgia.

The same was true for the AP Top 25. Alabama remained in fourth place before facing the Bulldogs. Georgia still holds the No. 2 spot in the AP Top 25.

The Bulldogs also had Saturday off. They remained No. 1 in the coaches' poll.

There wasn't much movement at the top of the poll at all. Texas remained in second place and Ohio State was third.

Lane Kiffin's Ole Miss team was ranked fifth in the coaches' poll after a blowout win against Georgia Southern. Tennessee defeated Oklahoma in Norman in the main event of the week and jumped from seventh to sixth in the coaches standings, surpassing Oregon. The Vols also passed Ole Miss in the AP Top 25 and moved into the Top 5.

Penn State, Miami and Utah made up the rest of the coaches' top 10. Missouri fell to 11th place after a near upset against Vanderbilt. The same thing happened in the AP Top 25.

Oklahoma fell five spots to 18th in the coaches standings after losing to the Volunteers, while falling even further to 21st in the AP Top 25. Kansas State plummeted after a blowout loss to BYU, falling 11 spots to No. 25 in the Coaches Poll and No. 23 in the AP Top 25; The Cougars used the win to move up the rankings, finishing No. 22 in both polls.
