The New York Liberty and Las Vegas Aces have an ongoing postseason WNBA rivalry – last year the Aces defeated the Liberty in the finals and won the title, but after this weekend's performance in their first semifinal game, the Liberty look like you're looking for revenge. Sabrina Ionescu helped the New York Liberty to their 87-77 win over the Aces in Game 1 of their playoff series, putting 21 points on the board, and with Game 2 of the series taking place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the Liberty will do so have the home advantage again.

The next Liberty vs. Aces game will air Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The game will also be available to stream on WNBA League Pass after it ends. The first round of the WNBA playoffs began on Sunday, September 22nd. The playoffs will be scheduled until October 18th if necessary.

Eight teams reached the WNBA playoffs, but after the first round four advance to the semifinals. They are:

  • New York Liberty (32-8)

  • Minnesota Lynx (30-10)

  • Connecticut Sun (28-12)

  • Las Vegas Aces (27-13)

  • Seattle Storm (25-15) – Eliminated after Round 1

  • Indiana Fever (20-20) – Eliminated after Round 1

  • Phoenix Mercury (19-21) – eliminated after round 1

  • Atlanta Dream (15-25) – Eliminated after Round 1

While this season's WNBA games will air on more than 10 channels and streaming platforms, including Prime Video, ION and other national broadcast networks, the playoffs will air exclusively on ABC and ESPN. Note that this will be the case not will be broadcast on ESPN+.

The WNBA playoffs feature an eight-team bracket. Participating teams will be decided based on their regular season record. In the first round, the games are played in a best-of-three series. Semifinals and finals will be played as a best-of-five series.
